All About Me

I am so excited to be starting my 12th year in Tomball ISD and my 26th year of teaching.  I am passionate about music education!  I believe that everyone has the potential to appreciate, create and enjoy music.  As an educator, it is my mission to instill a love for life-long music appreciation in every student I teach.

I have spent my life learning and loving music.  I began taking piano lessons when I was 5 years old in Stillwater, Minnesota.  In fifth grade I started playing violin in the orchestra.  In 6th grade I started taking organ lessons and in 7th grade got my first job playing organ for the Sunday services at a little church in the country.

I sang in the choir, played 1st violin in orchestra and played piano for the jazz band throughout Junior High, High School and College.  I have been continuously employed as a church musician for 40 years.  In the past 25 years, I have taught elementary school, middle school and high school  in private and public schools in Dallas, Kingwood, North Shore and Tomball.
