Welcome to Kindergarten!

Welcome Parents!

My name is Stephanie Howard and I am delighted to be your child's Kindergarten teacher!
I want you to feel confident in knowing that your child is with me for most of their day. I believe in making learning fun, meaningful and memorable.  It is my goal to motivate, challenge and inspire each child that comes into my classroom.

A little about me:
Born and raised in Houston, I graduated from the University of Houston in 2002.  I am happily married to my wonderful husband Casey.  We moved to Tomball to start our family.  We have 2 beautiful daughters.  Sarah is 14 and will be starting high school!!  Samantha is 9 and is going into 4th grade here at Canyon Pointe.
I began teaching in Aldine ISD where I taught first grade for 5 years.  I then joined the Canyon Pointe family in 2008.  This will be my 11th year teaching Kindergarten.  I love kindergarten! It is a unique year with many new experiences...losing a first tooth, learning to tie shoes, learning to read and write and making new friends.

4.  There is a red folder that will come home every day with your child and should be checked, signed by a parent and then returned each day.
5.  A blue and white folder will go home every Wednesday that will also contain information from me, the school, PTO and any student work ready to go home.

Things your child may bring beginning the first day of school:
*A Sport-top water bottle (with water only please)
*A healthy snack: goldfish, pretzels, cheez-its, fruit, crackers, granola bars
*A change of clothes, labeled, in a ziplock bag (just in case!)

I look forward to an amazing year with you and your child!

Sincerely, Mrs. Howard

Dear Parents,
Our lost and found is filling up with jackets and other miscellaneous items.
If you know your child is missing a jacket or anything else, I encourage you to  stop by sometime to take a look.  With the cold weather, we want to make sure our kiddos have their jackets, gloves and hats.
Also, make sure you label everything! This helps us to return items as soon as they get lost.
Thank you!
