Mrs. Coleman serves as the principal at Canyon Pointe Elementary School. Mrs. Coleman received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Indiana State University in 1981 and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Mid-Management Certification from Sam Houston State University in 2001. Barbara began her teaching career in Cypress Fairbanks ISD where she taught kindergarten, second and third grade. She has served as an Academic 2000 Grant facilitator and administrator before joining Tomball ISD in 2004 as a campus administrator. Her vision is to inspire students to achieve academic excellence so they may become productive responsible citizens.

Mrs. Maeker has the honor of serving as Assistant Principal at Canyon Pointe Elementary. Mrs. Maeker has more than seventeen years’ experience as an elementary teacher, literacy specialist, instructional coach, district program coordinator and national educational consultant. Her mission as an educator is to joyfully serve, support and inspire educators to maximize every child’s potential, every day. Mrs. Maeker is also an avid volunteer with the organization Destination Imagination: Project Outreach, which encourages students from around the world to seek out opportunities to be in service of others by solving real-world challenges that affect their communities. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, Birmingham and received her master of education in school administration from Lamar University. She holds Texas Principal, Master Reading Teacher PK–12, Generalist EC-4, and ESL K–12 teaching certifications.
Mrs. Hannan serves as the Counselor at Canyon Pointe Elementary. Mrs. Hannan earned her Master of Education in Counseling at Lamar University. She is excited to be part of the Canyon Pointe team this year after spending seven years in Spring ISD as a kindergarten and second grade teacher and elementary school counselor. Kathy and her husband have five children, all Texas Tech graduates, Go Red Raiders! Kathy believes that it is important to meet the academic, social/emotional, and future career needs of our students in a safe and nurturing environment. By educating the whole child, we enable them to discover and develop the skills necessary to become positive contributing members of our community. Together we will make this a fantastic year!
